Why PlantCalcKit

Built by a working plant engineer, for working plant engineers

Reliable before fancy

Every tool is checked against published worked examples and a standard example case before release. If a feature is not robust, it does not ship.

Nothing hidden

Formulas are visible, the method and its references are written out, and assumptions are stated. You can check every step — and defend the result in a review.

Made for real plants

Any units, three climates, field checks against site data, print-ready reports, and plain-language warnings when an input looks wrong.

How a cooling tower works, range and approach, wet-bulb, L/G, tower types and parts — plus a fully worked example: is your tower performing well?

The cooling water loop. Pumps send cold water to the plant, it picks up heat, and the tower throws that heat into the air. Makeup replaces lost water; blowdown removes some salty water.
