About PlantCalcKit

PlantCalcKit started with a simple frustration: the calculations plant engineers do every week — water balances, performance tests, chemistry checks — were scattered across old spreadsheets nobody trusted, with hidden formulas and no references.

PlantCalcKit tools are built by a practising process and utilities engineer from the process industries. Every tool follows the same rules:

• Reliable before fancy. Checked against published worked examples and one standard example case per topic.
• Nothing hidden. Visible formulas, stated assumptions, full references.
• Plain language. Clear warnings and explanations a busy shift engineer can follow.
• Generic and independent. No supplier products are promoted, and no plant's private data is ever used.

We start with cooling towers and cooling water. Boilers, heat exchangers, pumps and more are planned.
